Goku is the main character in Dragon Ball story. Goku who owns this tail is the Saiya nation, though he did not know it until Raditz told his childhood history.

Goku who was born on the planet Vegeta and sent to Earth to undertake a mission to spend his childhood with his grandfather, Gohan, who finds him still in the woods alone.

Goku's adventure begins when he meets up with Bulma who is looking for a Dragon Ball that turns inside Goku's house (4-star Dragon Ball is the only remaining relic of Goku's grandfather). Along with their journey together to find the Dragon Ball, they gradually meet with a variety of other characters, such as Master Roshi who later became the first teacher of Goku, Oolong, Yamcha, Puar, Chi-Chi, and others.

Kakarot is the nickname of Goku. This is the name given by the Saiya people to Goku. Every nation of Saiya always calls Goku by the name of Kakarot, as Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, Broly, and Turles do.
