آزاد کشمیر ریاست جموں و کشمیر کا وہ حصہ ہے جو اس وقت پاکستان کے زیر انتظام ہے۔ اس کا باقاعدہ نام ریاست آزاد جموں و کشمیر ہے جس پر پاکستان اور بھارت کے مابین تنازع ہے۔ یہ علاقہ 13،300 مربع کلومیٹر (5،135 مربع میل) پر پھیلا ہے۔ آزاد کشمیر کا دار الحکومت مظفرآباد ہے اور ریاست آزاد جموں و کشمیر کی آبادی اندازہ 40 لاکھ ہے۔ اور یہاں پہاڑی زبان،ہندکو،گوجری،پنجابی اور پشتو اور کشمیری زبان بولی جاتی ہیں۔ آزاد کشمیر کی شرح تعلیم 65 فیصد ہے۔

کشمیر اپنی قدرتی خوبصورتی اور دلکش مناظر کی وجہ سے جانا جاتا ہے اور سیر و تفریح کے لیے لوگ بڑی تعداد میں آزاد کشمیر کا رُخ کرتے ہیں۔ انہی خوبصورت مناظر کی وجہ سے مغل شہنشاہ ظہیر الدین بابر نے کہا تھا کہ کشمیر زمین پر جنت ہے۔ آزاد کشمیر میں 10 اضلاع، 32 تحصیلیں اور 182 یونین کونسلیں ہیں۔ آزاد کشمیر کے میرپور ڈویژن میں ضلع باغ، ضلع بھمبر، ضلع پونچھ، ضلع سدھنوتی، ضلع کوٹلی، ضلع مظفر آباد، ضلع میر پور، ضلع نیلم، ضلع حویلی اور ضلع ہٹیاں شامل ہیں۔

The history of Pakistan administered Kashmir, a part of the Kashmir region [|administered]] by Pakistan, is related to the history of over all Kashmir region during the Dogra rule. Pakistan administered Kashmir borders the Pakistani provinces of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the south and west respectively, Gilgit–Baltistan to the north and the Indian-administered state of Jammu and Kashmir to the east.
