Cathedral of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary which is on the moat an Orthodox church on Red Square in Moscow a well-known monument of Russian architecture. However, if the author of the cathedral is Postnik then he could not be blinded because for several years after the construction of the cathedral he participated in the creation of the Kazan Kremlin.

The temple itself symbolizes the Heavenly Jerusalem but the value of the coloring of domes to this day remains an unsolved mystery. In the last century writer NA Chayev suggested that the color of the domes of the temple can be explained by the dream of the blessed Andrei Yurodivy (Constantinople) a holy ascetic, with whom according to the Church Tradition the feast of the Protection of the Mother of God is associated.
