At the heart of all human beings, regardless of race or social position, there is an unspeakable longing for something they do not now possess.

This longing is implanted in the very constitution of man by a merciful God.

Each chapter shows the immense love that God has for the human being, and how through Jesus, He has been trying to get in touch with man, always looking for him and offering him salvation and eternal life.

God wants the human being to seek the best, and find it in the eternal good of his soul. In vain do men seek to satisfy this desire with pleasures, riches, comfort, fame, or power.

Those who try to find out that these things fill the senses, but leave the soul as empty and unhappy as before.

In each reading you will realize that the Lord Jesus always sought to help the most needy, meet their needs, heal their ailments, and invite him to follow him.
