New Translation in Today's Language (Holy Bible Version NTLH): This translation, prepared by the Biblical Society of Brazil (2000), follows the principles of dynamic equivalency translation, being faithful to the original texts (in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek).

The version was developed by the Translation Commission of the Biblical Society of Brazil, in a process that took 12 years of research, seeking to keep the text with a meaning closer to the original texts – Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. The NTLH is a revision of the Bible in Today's Language, released in 1988. However, it has received such a profound revision that it is considered by the SBB itself to be a new translation of the Holy Scriptures.

In addition to being a dynamic translation, the Bible in Today's Language is also a “common language” translation. It is not, in itself, a simple language (although it ends up being that too), but the language that is common to most Portuguese speakers in Brazil today.

Above all, Today's Language Translation was made, not for church leaders and pastors, but for people who are not in the habit of reading and who have had little or no contact with the Bible. It is the ideal tool for evangelization.
